Seed of Life
The enlightening and illuminating power of poetry can inspire, soothe and heal, three essential elements fueling Dayton poet Sierra Leone’s beautifully poignant poem “Remember the Seed,” an integral component of the “Seed of Life” Memorial. Dedicated to the victims, first responders and survivors of the Oregon District shooting that occurred Aug. 4, 2019, “Remember the Seed” explores an emotional array of reverent insights grounded in sincere bereavement and warm, thought-provoking reflection. -Russell Florence Jr., DDN
